I just wanted to make a note and say thanks for checking back. Since I started this website, I've now crossed the 20,000 hits mark and to me, thats a big deal. I appreciate the fact that you keep coming back to check up on me and whats going on with me. PLEASE KEEP COMING BACK!

As you have noticed, things have kind of slowed down at IDIOTHEAD.COM since my convention season is over. While there are many conventions left in the year, I am unable to attend them because the wife and I are expecting our first child due in September. We've been saving and paying off debts to rid ourselves of any worries once our bundle of joy comes along. We are both excited to take on this new adventure of full time parenting and raising our little nerdling (cause you know he will be an uber nerd just like daddy!). and we wholeheartedly appreciate all the gifts, notes of support and well-wishes we've been getting from all of you.

We're in the "slow quarter" phase of the year. I release all new stuff at the beginning of the year, and then take it to conventions during the middle. Now, we're winding down and heading into heavy production phase. Some of you that read my blog regularly know that I finished the last pages of PLEASANT LIFE and am into post production on that. I am also 50 pages into OUTCAST BOOK 1, and both will come out in the beginning of 2009. I did do art duties on a mini-series called WISE INTELLIGENCE that will see the light of day sometime next year. That one is out of my hands and in the hands of those who own it. But once I know anything about its release date, I will let you know ASAP!

I also have secretly been working on two other projects. One I think for sure will see the light of day come early 2009. See, next year is my 15th year as a self-publisher, and I would love to celebrate it by commemorating the event in some way. So you will see tons of new works from me. All in progress now!

Rest assured, I plan on hitting the con circuit hard next year. I'm doing all my usual cons, as well as HEROES, SPX and a couple of the smaller press conventions for sure next year. I am also investing in some booth stuff to make my booth really stand out and appear more professional. I think you all will be pleased with the results.

Lastly, I intend to give IDIOTHEAD.COM a facelift sometime in the fall/early winter. Its time to change it around a bit and add tons of new material. I have had plans to do something on a weekly/daily basis to keep you folks coming back and entertained daily. I intend to go through with that. What that is, I will keep secret for now. Just rest assured that something cool is coming and you won't want to miss out on it! I'll give you a big heads up on the main page before we roll out the new IDIOTHEAD.COM!

As far as the band goes and Shane's involvement, I wouldn't expect much. We both have sorta found what we really are passionate about. He's got a band and I got my creative endevours. While I am not completely ruling out the possibility of a 4th IDIOTHEAD album, I just don't see when its going to happen. I've been ready to record several times, but we cannot seem to get anything together schedule-wise. Plus, he's got a family that takes alot of time from his day, as well as touring and working with his other band. So, I don't know what to say on the music front of IDIOTHEAD.com. Not much really. But rest assured that you got 3 albums from us of honest, fun joke rock that you can listen back to anytime. Who knows, maybe I'll get a bug up my ass and do a solo CD. I've not ruled that out. But right now, I am really focused on getting these comics done. So I guess stay tuned on all of this.

I hope you all realize that despite this inactivity, there's still tons going on! I've got my weekly podcast every tuesday night at TALKSHOE.COM called "THE AMATEUR HOUR" with fellow co-hosts Tim and Anthony. We chat each week about the making of comics and what we're doing. You can download the old shows there or via ITUNES. Also, I have a daily BLOG (link located on the main page) that I update almost daily with production pics, notes on my day and other ramblings. You can always see what I am up to right now by just going there!

So, I just wanted to say a general STAY TUNED to everything. You all have been so gracious to keep coming back and checking up on me. Rest assured that I am still rocking it, making new stuff and soon, you will see so much of me, you'll likely get sick of hearing about me. Tons of things in the pipeline. Not just on the burner mind you. Its being pooped out and its in the drainpipe already on its way to you! I am very grateful that you care that much to keep coming back and checking on me. I'm still here, still alive and never better.
